In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top five food delivery service applications in New Zealand showed varied performance across downloads and active users. Here’s a detailed look at their trends, based on data from Sensor Tower.

DoorDash - Food Delivery experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 6.3K in the week of October 17, before gradually declining to approximately 4.2K by the end of December. The app also saw a steady rise in weekly active users, starting from 31K in late September and reaching about 45.5K by the end of the quarter.

Uber Eats: Food Delivery maintained a relatively consistent download rate throughout the quarter, with weekly downloads fluctuating between 4.8K and 6.2K. The app's active user base showed some fluctuations, starting at roughly 260K and peaking at 272K in mid-October, before ending the quarter with around 247K active users.

Menulog - Food Delivery saw a gradual decline in weekly downloads from 3.3K at the start of the quarter to about 1.6K by the end of December. Active users for Menulog remained relatively stable, ranging between 10.8K and 11.4K throughout the quarter.

Delivereasy also experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, with a peak of 2.3K in mid-November and a low of 1.1K in late December. Unfortunately, data on active users for Delivereasy was not available for this period.

Finally, GrabOne showed a steady download rate, ranging from 1.2K to 1.5K downloads per week. Similar to Delivereasy, active user data for GrabOne was not available for Q4 2022.
